NEW!! at the Annual Old Fashioned Christmas event
The State Route 57 reconstruction is nearing completion and we anticipate a successful completion for this project. The project is continuing to experience delays due to weather and the project team is anxiously awaiting one day of pleasant weather to finish the final pavement surface on the roadway. If the weather does not cooperate, then the 3 lanes will be opened to traffic for the winter and any uneven pavement will be filled in with temporary pavement for safe travelling through the winter. Unfortunately, there are a few items that will require completion in the Spring of 2015 which includes sidewalk, topsoil and grass, permanent pavement markings, and concrete pads in the northbound and southbound lanes at the Commerce/Hyanis & Novak Rd. intersections. The project team wishes everyone a safe and happy holiday season and thanks you for your continued patience!
This week, weather permitting, the contractor has scheduled the following activities:
Jeff Hill will be managing the project for Lorain County and is in the field daily. He can be reached for any questions or concerns at (216) 212-4298.
Thank you all for your continued patience.
