Community BRUSH PICK UP Program scheduled to begin May 6, 2020

Seasonal pick up of small brush material begins annually the first Wednesday in May and ends the final Wednesday in October.  This is a public service offered to residential property owners who are performing self-maintenance of their property.  ANY and ALL Brush, tree removal and tree trimming from commercial landscapers and or tree service companies are prohibited, even if it is claimed they are working for “free” or as a “favor for a friend”, and or “in trade for other services to the resident.”

Brush is to be placed curbside no sooner than dusk on Tuesday’s and before 7:00 AM on Wednesday’s.  Brush put out before dusk on Tuesday’s is subject to building department property maintenance violation and could result in a fine.

THIS SERVICE IS CONDITIONAL AND DEPENDENT ON FAVORABLE WEATHER CONDITIONS.  Weather permitting brush will be picked up every Wednesday unless an emergency should arise starting the first Wednesday in MAY and continuing into the last Wednesday in October. All brush must be out by 7:00 a.m. Limbs no longer than 4” diameter and cut to a maximum 8’ in length. Cut brush so it will go through an opening no larger than 8” x 8”.  Cut ends must face street and all laying in the same directionPlease separate any rose bushes or branches with thorns. Brush with thorns must be tied and bundled in no longer than 3’ lengths.  THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY ROOT BALL MATERIAL, no exceptionsNo vines.

The brush chipper cannot chip any item with nails, foreign objects and or any metal items as they will cause damage to the chipper which could significantly delay brush pick up and possibly hat all pick up until repairs can be made.  Brush with foreign materials or in garbage cans will not be accepted. If brush does not meet the requirements listed above, it may not be picked up.  Brush pick up services are subject to cancellation at any time should needed equipment not be in service. 

Brush pick up is currently scheduled to resume May 6th, 2020.
